Using Skylook

Skylook allows you to record all your Skype voice calls and text chats in Outlook.  These are stored just like your email messages - you can organize, sort, search and archive them just like you currently do with email.  Each conversation is recorded against the appropriate Outlook contact, allowing you to quickly see all communications with a single contact.  Your voice calls and text chats appear right there alongside your emails.

Skylook has a built in Answering Machine that takes messages for you and puts them straight into your Outlook inbox (no need for a Skype Voice Mail subscription).  If you do have a Skype Voice Mail subscription, or if you receive voice mails from others who do, Skylook will place incoming voice mails into your Outlook inbox.  Skylook will also convert Skype voice mails to MP3 for permanent archiving or forwarding to others, and record outgoing Voice Mails.  These features are available to owners of the Home and Business licenses only.

Skylook turns your Outlook inbox into a streamlined channel for all of your incoming communications, allowing you to manage your day more effectively.  Not only incoming voice mails and answered calls, but also all missed calls and missed text messages are placed directly into your inbox.  This means you can use all of the tools built into Outlook to keep control of what you need to respond to and when, including mark-as-unread, follow-up flagging, organization into folders, searching, sorting, categories and so on.

You can import your Skype contacts into Outlook and keep them up to date, using Skylook's SkySync feature.  In Skype, people maintain their own contact details such as phone numbers and address.  SkySync lets you take advantage of this, so that you no longer need to maintain contact details manually, by allowing you to synchronize the contact details kept in Outlook with the contact details stored in Skype.  You can also link your Outlook contacts to Skype contacts manually if you wish.

Skylook shows you which of your contacts is currently on-line on the Skype network.  Each on-line contact is shown as a button in the toolbar, so that you can see at a glance who is available without having to leave Outlook.  Each button contains a pop-up menu for you to instantly start a voice call or text chat with the contact, or for you to review recent communications with that contact.

Skylook allows you to start Skype voice calls and text chats directly from Outlook contacts. You can also click on emails and appointments and instantly start voice chats and text chats with the relevant recipients and attendees.  Owners of the Business License can also take advantage of Skylook's advanced dialing capabilities.
